Exciting multichannel surround sound used to be the exclusive arena of movie theaters. Then Dolby Laboratories extended its film sound technology into the home as Dolby Surround and "home-theater". Dolby surround "folds" four surround channels (left, center, right and surround) into two audio tracks of regular stereo program sources. Employing Dolby surround pro-logic decoder in a home theater system "unfolds" the four channels to recreate the enveloping sould field the movie viewer experiences in the theater. SRS-88 PRO
	The theme for Dai-1chi's engineered package surround sound electronics and speakers is "Home-Theater in a Box". The complete system features genuine Dolby Pro-logic decoding and six channels of amplification. Five channels deliver 30 watts to each of the left, center, right and both surround channels. The sixth channel, at over 60 watts, powers the electronics cross-over subwoofer. The system is easily hooked up to any television or VCR with stereo output jacks. Two stereo switchable inputs are provided. Special acoustic processing such as Jazz and Hall effects are selectable. A simulated stereo signal can even be generated from a mono source, such as favorite old movie. A remote control is included, and the processor/Multichannel amplifier has a power output LED display. The front left, center and right speakers use two long trow 4” woofers and 1” balanced drive tweeter with a Ferrofluid in a D'Appolito woofer-tweeter-woofer vertical configuration for controlled dispersion of the sound. The sealed enclosure uses woodstock covered in a black grain finish, rather than the cheap plastic typical of other products in this price range. The rear speaker enclosures includes wall mount brackes and swivel for installation flexibility. The subwoofer Boeasts a high performance 8” forward firing driver using a 4 layer voice coil in a vented enclosure.
